Thanks for all the valuable comment everyone ! I didn't know Monkey W. provide such a quality product.. Surprisingly that there are lots of people ordering performance kits from them for 1zz and 2zz engine. I am only interested in streetable performance so low end torque is what I am after. 1zz and 2zz engine carries the similar low end output. Will 2zz more reliable if I add the turbo charger instead then ? Unfortunately, the VVTLI in 2zz will only kicks in at around 6200 rpm to get the high cam starts.. I may start with 1zz and put in the PPE exhaust and high flow CAT and perhaps add in the fuel management for extra power gain to begin with..
Question about importing vehicles:
According to RIV, US vehicled can only be admissible if it is in stock condition. Any mod will fail the federal and provincial inspections if it is modded. I saw some guys in US selling their spyder already swapped with a 2zz motor and exhaust done, it really tempting me to import one if it can pass the inspection.. Some others said, engine mod is not a concern as long as the body is in stock condition including bumpers, roof, tires, DRL and engine immobilizer are in place. Anyone can confirm which one is correct ?
