those 10w6's are kickass. overkill for a little car like the the mr2 for sure, but the more the merrier. what are you doing for the sub enclosures?

i had a pair of 10's in my last mk1, but i am trying to plan out what i want to do with my SC right now. want to try something new, and learn some stuff along the way. sounds like fiberglass :D

The proper way to go is fiberglass and try not blocking the subs. And no Ron there is no such thing as too much for any car its not all about loud its all about quality. Most sound copmpetitions that are won off a meter are not loud they are carefully planned out with high end stuff. JL is defeinately good stuff. Youll find it to give you the sound you want at low volume. Just as fosgate does. But if you want to pound it will do just that. Have fun with the JL's they are one of my favourites.
