theres a black mk1 at pickapart in chilliwack still. I think russ posted some pics a month or so ago. still has hood, trunk, engine lid(i think), engine, tranny, left door. thats what I remember from being there an hour ago anyway.

its rusty in on the quarters of course.

there are 2 right-hand drive SW 20's at Ken's Japanese in surrey (last visit in august 08)

yellow and black.... both are pretty stripped but there are still a few good parts... the black one had a nice set of cloth seats the last time i was there.

John's (gypsy) old red 87 NA is at Import auto recyclers in Abbotsford. Engine and C56 tranny are gone but his brake and suspension are still there with interior parts. If i remembers correctly he was running ST springs with Tokico HP shocks? But don't count on it. Oh and this wrecker will not let you walk in and pick your own parts.

Found this 91 at Cap'n Crunch out abbotsford. No engine or trans.

odd ball engine parts, nothing whole. no hood badges, no side skirts, no 87+ side vents, no front lips.

there is a 91 JDM N/A T-top black on black, down at al's auto wrecking in delta. it has been there since december and it still has a ton of good parts on it. it was T-boned on the passenger side (remember its a JDM) and looks pretty stock.

I didn't look close enough, but I don't remember seeing anything unusual about it.

I might snag that sunroof from the SW20 if it's in good shape. I didn't know they allowed patrons in the yard anymore. I thought they didn't want anybody wandering among the cars anymore.

Jeez, that SW20 at the Automart couldn't be in sorrier shape inside & out. Suspension & engine gone, interior gutted, most body panels either taken or dented, the sunroof glass was beat & scratched to hell (and they were asking a bit more than half the price of a new one). I think the only things salvagable are the odd body panel (like the two fins of the wing or the rear waffle plate) and tiny parts like screws and bolts. There's some stuff still on it, but it's either deeply scratched or damaged beyond repair, and they'll overcharge you anyway. It's a losing situation.

From my experience over the last several years in the Lower Mainland, I think the days are way gone for cheap, quality MR2 parts at wrecking yards - they're just too old. I'm pretty sure that was my final visit to a junker.
