I hope WA state revolts from the possible lost Canadians Costco shopper tax dollars.

I caught that on the news this morning, that is nuts and would totally suck balls. I'm sure there are a lot of businesses, not just in WA, but along the ON-QC border that would lose huge money too.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure this is coming sooner or later for keeps. All this bullshit 'security' that barely works is costing Uncle Sam billions, someone's gotta pay for it. In Ontario, the Canadian side once had a crossing fee 15+ years ago at the Cornwall crossing, not sure it's still there or not but I know it was for years

I guess as the free market dictates, if the price of the product is too high you don't buy it. I'm sure there'll be just as many Canadian stores near the border that will be happy that it'll be no longer worth it to cross the border to save $10 on filling your truck up with fuel. We tend to forget that it's not always Canadian retailers who are at fault of our higher prices.
