Cam mounted my second OEM wing for a subtle look, black this time (bottom pic). He had to drill out the screws on the SMG wing on account of my bodyman Wing being a little too efficient in bolting it to the trunk lid.

From certain angles the black wing blends in the background and looks wingless, other times it stands out - so it's almost the best of both worlds. I might vinyl-wrap the roof black this summer for something different, maybe go back to my turbo lid too for a change.

And don't ask me about the blue-ish/purple-ish/grey-ish/green-ish tinge on the car. It was very bright out and I was in the shade, the other pics were in winter overcast (same camera for all). SMG can be a peculiar chameleon-like colour sometimes.

Play with the white balance in your pictures. When you look at the colour of the white license plate, the colour temperature looks to be causing the majority go the variation among these pictures. In the black wing picture, it, the asphalt and the car are all significantly cooler (bluer) than the other shots, with the second being the warmest. If you shoot objects in the shade with bright background lighting and your camera is in auto-white balance it will compensate with what it believes is the correct white balance. Your eyes do it too, they just do a better job.

Thanks for the white balance tip. I think the light/shade contrast was too much for 'auto' mode on my ancient camera (bought it in 2000!)

That's probably about what I'm planning to sell it at when I get around to it. The black wing seems to do everything for me, not sure I'll ever mount the SMG wing again.
