Are you having any powder coating done while you have it apart?
it's a great time to do all the little brackets and stuff and if you talk to the coaters
they will often add your small bits in when they are doing a larger job at a reduced cost

Yep, I'll be powder coating for sure. I have a lot of connections now that I work at Toyota which is making this very affordable.

And they shaved about ten thou off, not much but enough that it was obviously a bit warped. All in all, everything has come out in really good shape. The valves are all in excellent shape, and because I'd been using nothing but Chevron gas the intake ports were all very clean. Considering this car has 350000kms and it was boosting 12psi, it has held up better than a lot of even newer engines we see every day. Hang on to these ones folks, they don't make em like this anymore.
