Unlike most my winter project involves prepping the 2 for snow and dirt :) probably wont be too poplar for the abuse I ask of my car and I'm sure the styling is not to most peoples taste  but I'm a rally nerd and that's just how I roll! it's just for my own enjoyment and I don't see it getting to the point of real rally prep anytime soon(aka years).
This past weekend was skinny snow tires, made some monster mud flaps, and mounted my not so road legal 130w lights(I may leave them disconnected for road use) aside from installing the long list of steering and suspension parts I've been collecting to replace worn parts, next on the list is skid plates, muffler, and a custom airbox to protect the previous owners open air filter mod from mud and water. I'd like to leave the clean black interior intact as its still a DD and it would be a shame to remove such a desirable interior 8) due to an obvious lack of a helmet on the road, a full roll cage is out of the question, but I am still trying to design a roll bar that could safely incorporate door and sill bars. I'm unsure I could do it Strong enough to consider it up to my personal safety standards so we will see how that goes. after that basically seats belts and other safety gear. but that will likely come another winter. rear arch rust repair is certainly going to be on plan sooner than later, but the chassis is all sound so it's more cosmetic.

Project? no, will it take me the rest of the season to fix? yes.
I'm trying to figure out why my car backfrired like crazy for one minute and why it is running super rich all of a sudden (nonstop backfiring, sounds really awesome actually)..might be the cold start injector.

So far, it's everything in the middle box lol.

Image

94 tails, 93 shift lever, 93 shift boot, shifter bushings, 98 steering wheel and a Sony head unit buried in there somewhere. Buying TRD springs soon, hopefully the guy I'm talking to will sell it cheaper than Lithia Toyota, otherwise I'll have to pay close to $330 shipped from them. :( Hopefully I can find a 93 lip before I put the car back on the road, and then it'll be painting rockers white, new headlights, JDM clear corners and a Cusco engine strut bar. After that, goodbye to interior and exterior cosmetic mods and hello power >:] Maybe some small stuff like LEDs and other shtuff, nothing major.

This winter, unlike last winter, I'm not gonna swap an engine
I've already done deck
bluetooth (mount behind cluster in washer fluid light)
new rear 6x9 boxed speakers
replaced alt, stupid bosch re mans went overcharging for the 2nd time
and just finished up installing a cheap xs cargo alarm with remote start, thankfully when we swapped to smallport we didn't have to touch the body harness :P

need to replace, maybe today or tomorrow
clutch master, leaking....
and fix the leak on the rear right tire...

That shall be all.....

Ya, tell me about it!!!

I've got a big list of small stuff to do. I finally started writing it all out on my whiteboard and it's getting pretty full pretty fast. Off the top of my head:

- install my K&N Camry intake
- find & install my new (stronger) motor mounts
- pick up and install my new HD axles
- clean and install my 93 Turbo brakes (includes buying rotors)
- clean up some wiring
- permanently mount the ECU
- install a catch can
- get the y-pipe remade
- find traction somehow?

Rebuilding my engine, its well under way. Whole thing is apart down to the block, next thing is to remove the pistons and crank.

Where'd you get a rear strut bar from? I suddenly want to get one later.

A stealership in Oregon was having blow out prices on those TRD braces a few weeks back. Some goofball security guard bought almost all of them and will probably hawk them sooner or later.

My winter project is already complete. Jordan of JSTuning installed 25lbs of Damplifier Pro sound deadener in my car a few weeks back. He did a great job, meticulous and professional. Car is less harsh sounding than before, feels more like a mid 2000 car rather than a 90s car. The down side (or up side depending on how you look at it) is I drive faster because it's quieter. :P

Damn, as much as I'd like a TRD one, I'll most likely just settle for a Cusco. Any ideas on places to get TRD sway bars?

There's a set on eBay that's been on there forever, at $570 it's no wonder.
