MK1 MR2 Project - Rust Repair

Postby hokus » Fri Jan 18, 2013 2:31 pm

got my first mr2 loving it except the horrific body work the last owner attemped to do gonna be a few hours cutting and replacing wheel wells and rockers let alone the bad color scheme that it was (black and rattle can safety orange). got one rear quarter cleaned up and first coat of filler on it gonna look good after ( i hope) here are some pics so far..

Wow, that is some nasty rust. It's nice to see someone repairing it other than trashing the car.

i have seen them but my budget just doesn`t allow it after spending $200 on parts i needed a week ago its mostly just to keep the fuzz off my case was close to getting a #1 a few times good thing i know alot of them. come spring gonna be looking for one with front end damage so i can use back half for mine. hate to see them cut up but might as well use it for good then see it crushed for scrap.

#1's suck. I managed to talk it to a #2 on my jeep but it still cost me tons to get it all "right" in their eyes. Like who needs a shift pattern on the shifter? I you don't know what. 5spd is your not alowed in my jeep. How much filler is in there?
