My tire racks made from wood

Postby sbarc » Sat Jun 04, 2011 6:40 pm

I had some 2x4 scrapes laying around my garage so I spent $7 on screws and made myself 2 tires racks. Screws were 3" #12 for strength.......screws holding them to the walls were actually very thin lag bolts that were scrwewed in with a 1/2" air powered impact wrench. . All screw holes were predrilled as the 2x4's were quite dry. The real trick is to make the racks big enough so the tires don't touch your walls and leave marks on your walls.

Total cost was $7 for 2 racks.

Curtis was kind enough to help me mount them to the garage walls.....thanks Curtis.
