I'll take the GTO over the Enzo any day.

More work on the car. Finally sealed up the entire top end, now most every seal that could leak in a 5sfe motor has been replaced. Just finished setting the timing on the motor also. I swear no timing marks and using a mirror was a pain in the butt. Had to have Alex help me with that as we kinda needed two hands to make it work. Replaced all the old exhaust manifold studs, and nuts with new ones. Finally sealed up all the holes from the Roll bar also.

Oh and while I was waiting for Alex to show up dicided to paint the valve cover gold. Why ehh I had primer and clear for when I repaint the rear center pannel so I just needed to buy some gold paint. Not going to last but hey it'll do for now till I put a proper engine in the car.

More parts came in, got my wmd switch, LED's for the dash, and a CUP HOLDER yes because NOT RACECAR.

More Photo's coming soon....

Ok update on what I should at this point be nick name project Murphy, yet I'm sticking to calling her Katsumi. As of now I still have yet to log a full tank of gas without having something new break or show it self to be broken.

Fixed and I'll use this term loosely as many of you will think I bastardized the car, the rear center panel between the tail lights. I was originally missing the 2, where it's supposed to say MR2, instead it just said MR. Removed the remains of the emblem left a thick resedue of glue and god knows what. So what did I do, sand it down and "painted" the panel what looks like to be a gray metal flake. That and replaced the emblem with something I found on ebay. Hey it looks cool got to rock the VIP look right.

Took the car out last week for a spin. Rotor decided the screws that held it in place weren't tight enough. Got stuck at Redmond town center, thank you AAA towing. Went home fearing the worst, did the timing belt slip, or did I just kill the trans. So happy it was the rotor that somehow went loose. How I have no idea.

Got the car cleaned up by a mobile detailing service. I did mention the car was sitting for 4 long years, 1 of them was outside in the elements. So yes there was a mold issue in parts of the car. I did replace a vast number of parts with surface mold. The worst culprit was the storage box lid behind the passenger seat. Yet there was a lingering issue that needed a steam cleaning of the interior. While at it had the car washed and wax. It was raining, I was lazy, cost only a little bit more and did I mention it was raining.

Took the car out for a good spin good idea right. She's clean, new seals on the engine, and solved that pesky no spark issue so what could go wrong right. So I tossed caution to the wind and went off to my second job aka the casino. While there won 250 bucks so it was a good night. Then went to get my car at the Valet stand....... 4 cigarettes later my car finally rolls down the hill to where I was waiting. In my mind the worst of the worst happened. Did they scratch my car and are thinking of ways to explain things, did the car die, and they had to jump it. Nope I walk up to my car and the valet looks at me like a lost puppy and says "Sir you door wont open :basmah: ". Somehow the spring that actuates the locking part of the door decided to break or just fall off. Another day of owning a mr2 I guess. This is one item not in my wheel house so off to Isshi's shop to get things fixed.

Next on the list of things to deal with, new t-top seals, passenger side t-top glass, and a stereo system of some sort. Oh and fix that pesky high idle problem so I could finally take emissions to register the car. Then I could finally start to Mod the car. Talk about taking the long road to start the modding process.

Found some very special wheels that seems to be made of unobtainium, these were harder to track down then even finding a set of trd ilumi k's. Too bad they coming over on the slow boat and need some work before they can be mounted onto a mr2.

Yay now both my projects are back under one roof.

Some where out there has to be a nice 95 sunroof that needs to get rescued right. Hey if I can't buy my perfect 2nd gen I will at least try to build one.

Well, no funds going into the 94 doesn't mean I can't do a cool photo right. Me and Alex obviously set this shot up but it looks rather cool if you ask me. Amazing what you can do with a cell phone camera now days. Got to do a "drive" to this hidden gem we just found. To say that it was a brisk pace would be an understatement.

Finally some time to work on my car and catch up with a few things. I'll be getting rid of the spyder  kind of a sad fact that it will be gone I'll need the garage space anyhow when the 95 comes back home. So let the cannibalizing begin. Removed the head unit from the spyder and dumped it into the 94. I'm a simple guy when it comes to stereos. Installed the cup holder, yes it's important cause street car. Bought focal speakers for the rears as those were blown out.

Then as always "Murphy" happened and the muffler decided it didn't want to stay connected to the b-pipe any more. Quick stop at Steve's shop fixed all of that for me me. Turned out the bolts just fell off, how I don't want to even know. I swear the strangest things happen on this car for no reason so often.

Now the part that has been annoying me like no other. Those stupid headlights, for one they just don't produce enough light. More annoying, any "simple" option for better housings and bulbs well fails and the price point just doesn't work for me. So grabbed the pass port a wad of money and drove to Surrey from Seattle. Why needed an excuse to just take the MR2 on a nice long drive. Met with Jordan from Gladfab and bought the kit off him directly in person. Nice to put a face behind a product.

Future plans for the car?? I have no idea just want to dive it as the light weight flywheel just seems to egg me on. I swear I will never ever own another car without a light weight flywheel. It by far has made the car so much more fun to drive then if it didn't have one and makes up for the fact it's attached to a 5sfe...(for now muahahahah)

The car is now officially done. There will be absolutely no more work going into the 94. As much as I love it priority has shifted to much more pressing matters. I feel like it's been a long road I took with the car be it short as it has been. Yet I can safely say as to date the 94 has been the best all around mr2 I ever owned.
