Plastidipped my sidemarkers. This will have to do until I get a hold of toblerones haha. I'm aware that I'm legally required to have them but hoping that I won't get in too much trouble!

Also painted my trim since they were a bit faded. Anyone notice the mistake I made? LOL. Gonna have to redo a coupe of them cause they didn't turn out as nice as the others.

Thanks to kakucaekz for helping me do both!

You smoke them, or did they come smoked? I've got a set for my car I want to smoke.

You can buy those smoked on eBay for like $35 to $45, I'd probably go that route.

Alternator went so had to get it rebuilt. I called around parts stores to see if anyone would have one and not surprisingly, no one had it.

Funny story though. I called NAPA and AK420 happened to pick up the phone. Obviously he said the same thing so he told me to just get it rebuilt. After all that, kakucaekz told me that immorality told him to call AK420 at NAPA or get it rebuilt at Edmonds Alternators. I was texting MRII and he also told me to go to Edmonds Alternators lulz.

$80 for everything and he even delivered it to kakucaekz's house! My car was being worked on at his house because my alternator died at msaw11's house and just managed to drive it to kaku's house.

Sitting on stock shocks for now then I'll replace them with KYB AGX or Tokico in about a couple of months. Would love Koni's but I can't justify blowing that much money for my needs. It'll be street driven and occasional Auto X here and there. Oh and I don't make that much so I'm only getting something I can afford :P

I used to have KYB AGX, switched to Konis and never looked back. KYB AGX do have life time warranty if I'm not mistaken, but it didn't ride as much with my springs (H&R Race).

There's no 'blowing that much money' on Konis, they're an investment in quality & a well engineered product. Eric is right, KYBs are so-so at best, I've had them too and they're junk. They're priced cheap because they are cheap. People who post comments like that have never tried them and don't know the difference, so they just get whatever they can afford.

Do it right the first time, there IS a difference. Save an extra couple of weeks and get quality dampers - which are 80% of what counts on your suspension. A couple of hundred extra is nothing for what you get, I spend that much on parking every month. Konis are pricey because those crazy Germans have spent hundreds of millions in R&D and thousands of hours of track time developing them. The car itself is quality, stick with some advanced engineering, not some low-grade shocks with a cool name that can't rebound or compress worth a shit.

OK, I'm done. Image

And that's why we have a forum here to give good advice on experiences.
I would certainly take the recommendation and buy the konis

Funny that you mentioned it because I was thinking about it today and just decided to go balls out and rock Konis :-P Thanks for all that Pete! :D

I just hope my stock struts hold up for a couple months or so, my finances has seen better days and some things need more priority unfortunately :(

Awesome! Our posts made a difference! Cool! You won't regret it.

And in fact, once they're mounted and you've had some experience with them, go for a ride in a non-Koni equipped deuce with a neutral attitude - you'll be surprised at how superior your own ride is.
