Hmm, been a while. What have I done..
Ordered new rear wheels to complete my Meister set.
Rears are now going to be S1R, but with more lip than the step lipped S1s I originally got from Tony. ETA is February. Took me long enough, 3 years of owning the car and I FINALLY get some good fitting wheels on it haha.
Fabbed up a prop rod with Marc.
Works fine, but there are 2 issues. One, the strut itself is too powerful for the light NA lid, and two, my cheap ass tin brackets from Home Depot are flexing whenever I open and close it haha. Gonna get some real brackets later, but these'll do until then.
And, to end the post, I have a question. My car has a short burst of rod knock upon cold starts, lasts maybe a couple seconds then it's gone. However, in first gear, and first gear only, I hear a similar knocking sound, at about 2500 RPM. It makes the noise regardless of how much throttle I'm applying. It doesn't exactly sound like knocking either, more like a rattle. Is it my transmission or engine? I don't wanna blow a hole in this block =\
