4g isnt too bad for a clip. my complete build cost aroun 2500-3g, everything new, but I did all the work myself, including checking the clearance is on everything (about 5 evenings woth of measuring for every last component)

a swap is much easier :D

@Russ, oh no, I have to take it easy for the first few days to see if it's in okay condition to rip it around. I might come out though to watch!

@Saiko, my dad just replaced the bearing, apparently the crankshaft looked ok, so I'm gonna drive it and see. Luckily there wasn't too much damage other than the bearing, I didn't drive the car after I heard the dreaded knocking.

Good thing I convinced you not to limp it home LOL. That $100 tow bill is starting to look like a bargain.

Yeah haha. :P I'm still very grateful for that ;)

Also, first shoot with the car back! Don't mind m_b sitting there, we were all sorts of random that night lol.

Guys, I need some insight. I've my eye on these coilovers, and they need a rebuild.

http://www.mr2.com/forums/mk-2-parts-fs ... ppppp.html

I just need confirmation that I can still get Koni inserts for these so I can rebuild them and slap them on the car. Like Pete said in the thread, new inserts and mounts, and these should be a pretty good setup for a good price.

no you can't rebuild those with normal strut inserts, there is thread on the other forum about it, it's just too long

I'm sure there is at least one insert out there that can, Imma do some more research. If not, I'll probably just get them anyway haha.

Also. VVVVVVRRRRRR-PPSSHHHH

Picked up a BOV from Tonyq. Gonna repaint the piping silver and maybe get some silicon elbows. This sucker is loud!

Hm.. can't identify the brand of the BOV. Tial? Greddy? Is that a recirculation line you have connected?

Also, just spotted you going out an alley by Killarney to 49th.

Yes Joe, still need the engine, please.

It's some sort of GReddy one, not sure what. And yes, it's fun with the BOV. Not very gas efficient, but whatever LOL
