MEMBER'S RIDES - New Webpage

Hey everyone,

We are going to be featuring all of BCMR2's members cars in a special webpage on the main website, with a link to each one.

I need everyone to submit a photograph of their car, from a 3/4 viewing angle, along with a list of mods and details about the car (listed below). If you have already posted in the member's rides section of the forum, you may re-use those details, but I have added some more to give more detailed information about your specific ride.

Please note that I want to make all the pictures somewhat uniform on the thumbnail page so try to include a 3/4 view angle of the car. Make sure the entire car is in the frame.
If you do not have or cannot get a picture from this view, then another view is fine. Please provide a picture that is a standard size, probably not bigger than 600x600 pixels. The image will be resized to a thumbnail for the main page and then the full size image will be viewable on its own page.

If you have any questions or comments please feel free to ask. This will be an ongoing project so there is no deadline, however I would LIKE to have MOST of the cars on the page by October, so please submit if you have time soon.

ALSO: The sooner you get your ride in, the HIGHER up on the page of thumbnails it will be! If you submit your COMPLETE form, with picture, your car will be the next one added to the thumbnails and the most seen by everyone. The first spot has been filled by thelaw604, so the top two spots are still open, and the top nine are all good ones to be in!

I have already drafted up the HTML for the new pages. Its a cinch to simply add pics now.

bringing something new to this site is a great idea anyhoo. there's so little activity and nothing was being changed, kinda stale and crusty. suddenly I have a craving for croutons mmmm croutons. Sarah, I'm kind of a photography noob, what's a 3/4 photo? maybe an example would help.

These aren't the greatest examples, too much crap in the backgrounds and not the best camera, but that's really all that's required. If you like, you can probably ask somebody on the board like Saiko, Oteck, My2, or whomever has a nice digital SLR to take a picture of your car at a meet for this purpose. It's up to them, of course, but they frequently take some great shots of the meets. If they happen to have a pic of your car you'd like to use, just shoot them a message and ask and I'm sure it's just fine.

I'm going to pull the information and photos from the current member's MR2s pages as well, so if you have already submitted your car there, that's fine. It's great to have an updated photo, however, and perhaps the newest mods.

Get your pics and information in, everyone! The webpage has been started and just needs to be filled up with everyone's rides. If you have any questions I'd be happy to answer them. I'm responsible for doing the webpage so if you have a special request you can also ask me.

ADDED: A form to fill out for all the details you can possibly give about your specific car, to share with everybody. Please fill out as much as you can, and submit with your photo. See the original post for the form.

Hahah thanks, I didn't realiy notice how unprofessional the background looks. I'll try and get a better one up when i have time.
