Crappy phone pics, but anyways... I replaced the entire clutch pedal with one from a JDM turbo to get the over center springs since my pedal arrangement has become Leg press, brake, gas. First off the JDM pedal is very different in many minor ways, so I swapped it into the original pedal bracket, and then Randy and I bent the hell out of it in hopes that it would line up with the other pedals. It mostly does, but when fully depressed it hits the firewall before the pedal stop. So if anyone has a LHD turbo clutch pedal kicking around, PM me...

Aside from that I fabbed up a mount for the accelerator pedal. I don't know why I didn't take pics, but it's in there and now there isn't a huge gap between the gas and brake like there was when I tried mounting it with the holes from the old pedal. I also picked up this fancy clutch clevis with bearing for the clutch pedal. Take a look at the wear on the old clevis pin!

Nice progress! Was drilling the hole for the new pin easy? Is it required to take the whole pedal out or do you think it's doable with the pedal in the car for the bigger hole?

I am amazing at drilling steel and titanium and doing it with the pedal in the car would not be something i would want to have to do.

The clutch pedal assembly is bolted in with 2 nuts & 2 bolts. You might as well just take it out.

A little update today... the harness has been connected for a couple of days, and I've been trying to sort through it. At first I had a tough time figuring out where everything went, and what all the connector are for. Anyways, that's sorted, and I got my pipe coupling in the mail and I got my intake together, but I still need to bring one of my filters out there are attach it. I got the car to crank over, but it wouldn't start.

I was missing a new coolant temp sensor, so I managed to pick one up today, got back and installed it. Then I bumped the fuel pressure up a bit. It was reading ~44psi, so I upped it to the required 50psi. Then I got in the car, turned the key, and nearly shit my pants as the car roared to life. Let me put the emphasis on ROARED! Open headers FTW!

Thanks Eric! There are still a lot of loose ends to tie up. I'm not sure if I should drive it to the exhaust shop. It's loud at idle, but even part throttle sounds like the end of the world!

...only if you're parked!

I also have to give a big thank you to Randy, for putting up with me and the car for so long!! Also to Jordan, Sarah, Duncan, Martin and everyone else that had to listen to me talk on about this or that! :BeerChug:

There's two very good reasons for that. 1. I don't think my iphone would be able to capture the sounds properly (if at all), and 2. I blew the hose off the oil cooler lines and spewed about 2 liters of oil on the garage floor. I'll see if I can get some video next time I'm out there.

come up with a parts list... and let me drive it around the block... lol... I think I've decided on a V6 swap for my restoration project. I just don't know which one... I want low end torque and tall enough gearing for a GT car because I'll be driving it to Vegas quite a bit... lol

Well, you don't want an MR2 turbo tranny on it, it will rev way to high for your liking.
