As mentioned, the suspension is all back together;

I've also swapped over the tach board from a V6 Camry, here's the left overs;

It's amazing that the large coolant hoses line right up, but I've got a couple of extra to try and I've got a couple more new ones on the way;

Got the fuel system all plumbed together and made a little bracket for the FRP. I thought that I'd put it off to the side away from hot headers!

Waiting on Toyota for some more parts;

There's really nothing to it. I just disassembled both gauge clusters and the put the tach board from the Camry into the MR2 Gauge cluster. Once it's back together you don't see anything different. It's just that this tach board is meant for a V6 signal. It's a super easy swap as everything just clips together. Actually, Randy did most of the work.

it's only the circuit board on behind the face. I still use the MR2 tach face.

Thanks! Life is a lot easier when you are working on a rust free California car.

Im very impressed with the quality of the bits Russ got for the motor mounts and other assorted gear. Looks great, even if it is in my garage right now. It' going to be sweet when it's done.

Haven't made a lot of progress over the last 2 weeks as I've been sick as a dog.

I have managed to get the oil cooler hose replaced with one that doesn't kink itself, but I will revisit this in the future. I originally thought that the hose carried oil, but once I took it off and looked it is definitely carrying coolant, so it won't be a stretch to tee into the cooling system somewhere down the line. I've got to make one more adapter, and then replace a couple of hoses when the new ones get here from Toyota, then the cooling system is done.

New axle nuts are installed, but not torqued yet, I'll wait until the wheels are on the ground to crank these down.

Test fitted the exhaust, but the part of the pipe that goes over the crossmember hits the rear header, so it will have to stay off and get modified by the exhaust shop. Speaking of exhaust, I chatted up a shop last weekend and they are eager and willing to fab up a y-pipe, but their bender can't do 180°, so I'll just buy a couple of different sizes from Lordco and return the ones they don't use. Randy showed me some really nice metal polish stuff that he has so I will now have to get his buffer wheel set up and clean up the cans and tips.

Wiring harness should be done any day, and I've picked up a confirmed non-immobilizer ECU as a back up to the cheapy that I bought in the first place.

For the intake, I've got the stock airbox and I will cut that up so that I have the right size tube for the MAF, and I'll cut up the old intake that I had to create a new one for this motor.

Another very small update. I bolted up the underbody panels (except the most rearward engine cover), bought a 180° bend for the exhaust, and a hose splice for the coolant filler, and I cut the tube with the MAF out of the OEM Rav4 airbox in hopes that I could use it with some old hose couplings that I had, Sadly though, they are one size smaller. *sigh*

Crappy phone pics, but anyways... I replaced the entire clutch pedal with one from a JDM turbo to get the over center springs since my pedal arrangement has become Leg press, brake, gas. First off the JDM pedal is very different in many minor ways, so I swapped it into the original pedal bracket, and then Randy and I bent the hell out of it in hopes that it would line up with the other pedals. It mostly does, but when fully depressed it hits the firewall before the pedal stop. So if anyone has a LHD turbo clutch pedal kicking around, PM me...

Aside from that I fabbed up a mount for the accelerator pedal. I don't know why I didn't take pics, but it's in there and now there isn't a huge gap between the gas and brake like there was when I tried mounting it with the holes from the old pedal. I also picked up this fancy clutch clevis with bearing for the clutch pedal. Take a look at the wear on the old clevis pin!

Nice progress! Was drilling the hole for the new pin easy? Is it required to take the whole pedal out or do you think it's doable with the pedal in the car for the bigger hole?

I am amazing at drilling steel and titanium and doing it with the pedal in the car would not be something i would want to have to do.

The clutch pedal assembly is bolted in with 2 nuts & 2 bolts. You might as well just take it out.
