An unfortunate update. I got sideswiped by an 84 year old man in a new BMW 5-series today. I was in the middle lane on Marine drive eastbound, just past Knight and he came down the off ramp over two lanes of traffic right into me:

for what it's worth, at least he missed the wheel.

I'm sorry to say, Duncan, but he got the wheels as well. I don't know if you can see it in the pics, (I'm viewing this from my phone), but the 5'er is such a large car that there is actually a large amount of scraping and a dent above the mouldings. There's even marks on the door handle.
