Some small mods. I put the jdm clears back in the front. I've had these for a while, and had them installed for a little bit a while ago too, but I never liked the look of the clear front with the orange marker light so I took them out until I came up with a solution for the side. Most people just put in the solid mouldings. I thought I'd be a little different and picked up these clear covers for JDM toblerones. I put some LED bulbs in the tolberones, and just have orange 1157's in front.

I'll pick up a couple of harnesses the next time I'm out at the junkyard and wire up the markers in the JDM clears. I want them to be the main marker lights and I'll wire them up to the halo's in the Pegasus lights. I'll then wire the regular signal in the front to the toblerone marker so that they both stay lit as markers, and flash as signals.

Looks good, Russ. I've still got my amber corners on despite liking the white ones more, but been torn over changing for the same reasons.

If I only knew.... It's pretty awkward to replace it in car, but it doesn't take that long.

Another guy with a 2gr mkii on mr2oc who took his car to the track experienced this.

Last monday on the track, after about 15 minutes I started to smell something burning, it wasnt strong but I decided not to take chances ... and I'm so glad I did!

The trunk mat started to burn! There was a ton of smoke but no flames.
The mat had about a hole of about 1 feet in diameter.

Moral of the story, I need more heat shield!
At least for now, I've put more header wrap around the (high flo) catalyser to reduce heat, which works good.
Now I can touch the bottom of the trunk after long cruises, before it was too hot to touch

Even though he went lapping and you go auto crossing quiet a bit.. do you ever smell a burning mat? :P

I've never smelled a burning mat. Some time last year I installed heat resistant wrap in bottom of the trunk, the trunk firewall and around the coolant pipes in the frunk. I did this because those places always get warm, but I've never noticed anything abnormal.

Having cats increase your EGTs alot. But yeah good trunk insulation on any mr2 would be a good idea.

So I finally got some new tires to replace the now bald rears. Oh, and I bought some different wheels... Shitty picture, but you get the idea.
