Still have a 1/2 dozen or so sets kicking around...

They have become a excellent repair part for worn out shifter cable ends.
Rather then purchase a complete cable

I picked up a set of these brass bushing off Cam on Saturday and today I finally put them in and man.... what a difference?!! I never thought that such a simple upgrade would do so much. I had never done this job before but it only took me literally 10 minutes to replace both brass bushing. and then i went for an hour drive and it made world of difference. My lower bushing was completely worn out and was making shifting sloppy and hard.
I would have to say that this is probably the best $25 i have spent. I highly recommend it. Remember it's not milage that wears the OEM rubber bushings, it's age that wears them out.

thanks for the post..

I was surprized a low km car like 4agze had that much play in the shifter.
After checking the play and seeing the travel in the bushing it needed replacement.

And yes for the price it is one of the best upgrades for the MR2 MKI and MKII and even MKIII

I'll get a set, I'm in no hurry so I wouldn't mind picking them up next coffee meet or if there's any closer meets sometime soon. I'd rather pay in person than over paypal if that's ok.

I would rather you pay cash as well ...
As giving money to paypal isn't worth it..

I wish i kept that worn bushing and took a picture of it and posted it. although the brass ring in the middle of the rubber bushing wasn't in aweful shape, the rubber itself had split and had many cracks. so the brass ring was stretched into an oval and was free playing.

My personal fav is when the brass ring is seized onto the shifter arm.
I had to use a torch and vise grips one time
