Buy them, you'll never believe how your 2 will ride with them. Sadly, just put mine in after owning the car for 15 years. Live and learn, I guess.

How do they compare to the stock struts? My struts are still pretty decent right now...

It's hard to compare a brand new aftermarket shock to a used factory one even if they still are decent, the aftermarket one will just outperform the OEM ones. Mine were completely gone, so I can't really compare the old blown shocks to the new Koni's.
I'll tell you this much, it's nice to have the ability adjust them from soft to stiff within a few seconds (you have to take the plastic hood side covers off for the rear though).

Depending on whether you're running OEM springs, if you're struts are good you won't get as big of a benefit as people who are sitting on aftermarket springs, but it'll still be a nice upgrade.

I ask because I have a set of koni's and trd springs ready to be installed as my old struts were gone. However, I sold that car and bought Dan's car which has the stock setup and much better ride quality than my old mr2... just wondering if I should ride these stock ones for awhile of if I'd be really missing out with the koni's/TRD...

Keeping in mind though, this car is mainly a DD with the occasional spirited driving...
