I hear a lot of people on IMOC say the TRD and TTE ones aren't that great?

I would stick with the toyota one

I can only assume the HKS one is 500+ bucks anything with HKS is very expensive.

What are the advantages of the HKS unit ?

Who Makes A Good Head Gasket?

Apparently LittleDragon is correct..People dislike the TRD one the most.

When installing a metal HG, it is recommended to ensure the points of contact with the gasket are machined to ensure a flat fit. This is where the OEM HG comes in as it will form the shape of the head; unless severely warped.

HKS HG is approx $250USD

if you're going to run a metal headgasket, definetely go HKS. But unless you plan on doing some serious mods, there is no need for going more then stock. Just ask Ken Blake what he thinks about the TRD one.

I am running the HKS. Haven't had a chance to test it yet. Need a bigger turbo. As far as where to get it, for a decent price, you're definetely gonna have to go to the US.

Oh, and regarding the TRD HG... the reason why it's bad is that it is NOT intended for use on the 3S-GTE. It's originaly made for the n/a 3S-GE and that's the reason why it's only 0.8mm (1.0mm being stock)... it's made to raise CR! Good on n/a engines but nothing you would ususualy want on a forced induction engine (boost makes more power than a few tenths in CR).

Seems from IMOC that the TRD gasket is for a NA engine.
That would explain it not working very well.

Not sure if it is true or not
