This run is not for the faint at heart

not sure what my transmission will have to say about that though; i'd hate to get stranded on foreign land.

i will be quite highly weather dependent.

I was going to try and make it down for this, but I have family coming out for Ontario that I may go meet in Kelowna. Maybe I can see them on my way down ? :D I'll try to figure something out.

Date change made this impossible :(

i remember hearing that the 'rule' is that on bcmr2 drives, cars other than mr2's have to stay at the back (even lexus')

is there a planned route that we wil be taking? i may be joining you guys en route, as i most probably wont be able to get to 232 and hwy 1 by 11.

im assuming that we will go through the peace arch border, probably around 11:45 or so?

What is the drive like? Fairly demanding? I am thinking of coming out for this, but honestly my car isn't really very stable at the moment.. The steering is a little unpredictable under acceleration or really hard braking and I dont trust my driving enough yet to go out with a group of drivers for a hard drive

But it does sound fun.

I have to ask dutch what we are doing for the actual route...

But UFO why would we drive out the 232 and then drive back to the peace arch border crossing ?

The shortest route to Mount Baker is Sumas crossing but I think we are taking the aldergrove one.

Dutch ?

If Bao is in front, you guys can just call my cell phone when you manage to make it back to civilization

But seriously, if someone can tell me a checkpoint in the states and the approximate time you will be there, I'll put together a small caravan of Washington people. Atleast it will be 1 car long :)

Personally, I am in Redmond. Its ~20 miles east of Seattle. I may be setting up a meeting point to get a little caravan together if there is any interest at all from the PacNW folks.
