Yes, I suppose I could...but that takes bling $$$
"In almost any situation, the MR2 feels as though its on your side, and you have to make some fairly flamboyant mistakes with the brakes and steering wheel to have it get away from you. Its a superb-handling car."

24 hours of driving?! Whew! Still, it would be a change and the scenery would be pretty spectacular. One question: if it's called SW2003 does that mean it's only open to MKIIs and not MK1s?

NO!! SW stands for "South West" as this is the geographical location of Las Vegas. They did SE2002 (South East) in Alabama. We will be holding BC2003 in August..... We could have kept with their naming convention and called it NW2003; however. we had used BC2001 before all of the US events so we opted to stay with what we had started.

Sweet..One more...Let us know as we may be able to assist with planning and accomidations....If you are planning to stay at the Orleans (IMOC Choice) Hotel. Please book now. You can always cancel no-charge with 48hours notice. They have booked 200 rooms and only have 10 booked thus far. They want to prevent a mad rush in early April as this creates a huge administratve nightmare. www.sw2003.info The roomshare is also open...BCMR2 is planning to stay on the strip somewhere (Luxor is 1st choice) ...details to follow in February. Where you stay is up to you.

Who's going to be driving down there?
A 24 hour group MR2 drive would be quite memorable.

I'm going to drive down, but I need a co-pilot.

My girlfriend will be flying down to meet me there as she can't take more than 3 days off work and because she can't stand the thought of being without me for a few days.

I believe the list of cars driving to Vegas (thus far) is:

RandyH
KevinB
DannyR
BaoL
ManjG
SeanL
LandonF
RobM

I will be going; however, whether I am a co-pilot or fly there is yet to be determined. I may even take my own car...Still undecided.

Quick note... if you're flying, it's a $40 US cab fare from the strip to the race track. When my car spilled it's guts, I had it towed to the track where the yankee mechanics were confused about where the engine is... one guy called it a Fiero
Anyways, the cab fare for me to get from the track to the Luxor was roughly $40.

I am sure there will be plenty of drivers that will be more than happy to provide a ride over to the track. This will probably be a last ditch effort. But it is always good to know what the cost of transportation is ahead of time. Thanks Bao.
