Ok the dates are now confirmed. The event will be the weekend of April 9-11, the location is Medford, Oregon at an amazing track. Medford is located in beautiful southern Oregon, about four hours south of Portland and four hours north of Sacramento. Fifteen minutes away is Ashland, home of the world famous Shakespeare Festival. Here's a quick preliminary rundown of what the event will entail:
Friday:
Arrive in evening
Check into hotel, meet n greet
Optional things to do:
Drags (tenative)
Concert (a bunch of local bands)
Saturday:
Drive to track (10 mins)
Show n Shine (at track)
Open track (!)
Scenic drive / poker run
Dinner (place yet to be determined)
Movie?
Sunday:
Autocross
Say goodbyes
I'm hoping to find some more activities also. There will be a raffle and prizes for show-n-shine. Price is not set yet, but it wont be more than $50/car, which will NOT include drags, meals, hotels, ect. There will be a signifigant discount on hotel costs at a hotel yet to be decided. The open track driving and the autocross are included! To drive on the track you will need a valid driver's license and if you're under 18 must have a parent present. Not sure what I'm forgetting to mention but I'm sure there's more.
In case you're wondering, this event is being organized by me for my senior project, with the help of the local autocross club. Any profits generated will be donated to the club for the purpose of repaving the track and buying new equipment.
This weekend a website will go up with more information on the event, as well as registration information.
Check out the autocross club page for pics of the track and a bit of information:http://www.ssccmedford.com/

Regarding help, the biggest thing now is that I need to get the word out. It'd be great if people posted on other forums (like BC2003). Tell your friends, and so on.
