Nov 8th, 2003 Rallycross in Cochrane AB

Postby Rexxrally » Wed Oct 22, 2003 9:08 am

If you aren't afraid of racing your vehicle on dirt/gravel, then here's an event for you. It's a Rallycross (1 car/truck/SUV at a time, against the clock, on a dirt/gravel lot) taking place in Cochrane AB on Nov 8th. It will be in the lot across the street from Cochrane Dodge.

Everyone can bring a street vehicle out and compete. No cage requirement. Ask me if you want more info about it. MR2's are a BLAST to drive in the gravel, by the way!

Then, stick around the next day to spectate at the final event of the Western Canadian Rally Championship, the Kananaskis Rally. Possibility of Bud Stanley competing in his MR2, and one other MR2 coming up from Oregon. I'll be competing in a Toyota Corolla. More details on this event can be found here:

Alberta is too far to travel, at this busy work, time for me.

Give us a head's up on the next local (BC) rally and I am sure, with enough notice, we will be there to show our support.

Budd;
I'm going to bring my stock MR2 down for the event. You can run my car in the rallycross, if we can use your tires.

Well, Calgary got 6 cm of snow yesterday, it's snowing today, and it's snowing again tomorrow. Then again, on Friday, it'll be sunny, and it'll probably all melt....................

They should put that "All You Can Eat Sushi" event in Cochrane, right before the Rallycross.

Then, we could have the "All You Can Barf" Rallycross event!!!

That would be quite the "All Terrain" Rally.

It's the stock muffler, with a hole in it, so I don't care if it gets ripped off, actually. It'll save me having to do it myself later!
