Please remember that this is a FREE event, as in there are no registration fees and it is just plain awesome.

For those that have not attended this Meet in the past, you are missing out on the favorite MR2 Gathering in the Pacific Northwest. The event includes scenic beach views, fancy resort, beautiful spirited drive and a downright fun time on the beach with a huge bonfire, loved ones, friends and our favorite cars. Don't hesitate any longer. If you were ever going to make it, then make the 12th anniversary year!

**RESERVATIONS ARE NOW OPEN**

Please call the Quinault Beach resort and book your rooms today! Just tell them you are with the MR2 Northwest Group. I recommend calling in to make the reservation in order to make sure they give you the group rate.The sooner you call in your reservation, the better the view will be from your room! Remember they do not charge you to make a reservation. You pay when you check out of the hotel.

They are offering two room rate options which are awesome deals.

$129 For Ocean View

$119 For non-Ocean View "wetland View"

This is a really cool hotel with tons of things to do, with a casino downstairs, restaurants, bars, spas, pools and cafes.

Once again we will have our designated parking area with security surveillance. Approx 70 spots at the resort.



Friday September 26th:

4pm - ? Check in at the Quinault Beach Resort. This year we will have an actual Valet parking area. Look for the roped off area with an MR2 sign.

This area is monitored by surveillance cameras 24 hours. Make sure to pick up your registration packet at the front desk, when you check in. This has important information such as maps for the drive, an itinerary, Sponsor information, sponsor goodies and A placard for your car for the "Show N Shine."

8pm - ? Huge Bonfire on the beach behind the hotel. Meet and greet, get to know each other, talk cars, etc. BYOB

BYOB 21 and older of course.


Saturday September 27th:

10am - 1pm Show and Shine in downtown Ocean Shores at the Convention Center. (about 1 mile from hotel) It is right in the heart of Ocean Shores, so a lot of people are going to be coming down to check out our cars! Remember that we do not do judging at the car show, but it is for showing off that bright shiny, dull, rusty or broken MR2.

1pm - 4pm Scenic & Spirited drive to Lake Quinault Rain Forest Those of you who have attended in years past, will certainly remember the "Moclips Hwy" :thumbup

4pm - 5pm Dinner (Lucky Dragon Chinese Restaurant) approx $8 buffet..Vegetarian requests please let me know via e-mail ahead of time.

5pm - 8pm On your own time. Explore Ocean Shores, take a nap, take a swim at the hotel, whatever you want to do!

8pm - Another Bonfire on the beach!

Sunday September 28th:

9am Breakfast at Emily's Restaurant located inside the hotel. They have an AWESOME breakfast, with a great big menu!
This gives us an easy chance to eat breakfast say goodbye, pack our things and make up great convoys for the way home, without having to locate everyone throughout ocean shores.

Good things to bring if you have them:

2-way Radios with sub-channels, we will use ch. 2.2

Folding Chairs (for beach and show & shine)

Warm Clothes (It can get cold at night)

A spouse (this is one of the events that they will enjoy! Shopping areas, scenic drive and sunrise or sunset walks on the beach etc.)

Flashlight to use when crawling back home from the nightly bon fires.

Hotel reminder: August 27th, the hotel will be releasing any unregistered rooms to the public. After that date, they will still honor our discounted rate, but availability may be slim or non existant. Please register your rooms at the hotel asap. All reservations may be made by calling 1 (888) 461-2214 and ask for the MR2 discouned rate. Getting close and I am excited.

Due to the potential high turn out this year, one per driver/owner on a first come first serve basis and you must be at the event in order to get one. Sponsorship announcement. I have collected the following sponsorships for this years 2 The Beach! RaceWear Clothing has designed and produced this years event wear. Lithia Toyota of Springfield Oregon for allowing us to produce 60 event shirts to give away for Free!
