FREE Bicycle Wind Trainer

Postby 2-yota » Fri Jan 06, 2006 3:53 pm

For those of you that ride, this would be perfect for your winter indoor training. Just snap on the front forks onto the wind trainer and ride like Armstrong. Includes frame and resistance fan. Needs minor parts/work (missing the quick release which can be easily replaced). Free for whoever wants it.

Yes I am. And I'm still finding many goodies that I'm still undecided what to do with.

It's the device where you can put your own bicycle onto it and ride it like one of those cycle trainers you see at fitness gyms. The advantage of having a wind trainer is for those dedicated cyclist can continue training on their own bike (usually one that they ride in the summer seasons or race with). That way you'll be better in maintaining riding form as the bike is already set up to your own personal riding comfort/style (ie. length of stem, seat height and setback, pedal length, etc.) to maximize on your training conditioning.

I use to use this a lot to maintain a decent level riding form through the winter season. Come spring time, it was much easier making the transition back to the road in decent shape.

Hope this is what you thought it was!

It should fit in the passenger seat side. I'll test fit it in my MKII to see. Should be fairly close for the MKI I would think. I'll let you know. :)
