MKI Rear engine lid strut

Postby camshaft » Mon Mar 27, 2006 6:44 pm

Just wanted to update this
I do believe that I have 5 left (40.00)

Other units on the market have universal brackets with extra holes drilled.
The one with this kit has been water jet cut for this exact application.

Thats the one Cam installed for me and its great. Engine lid closes perfectly and its great to just open up the lid like that and show off the engine.

It is in the works..

I was making two units one for stock air filter units and one for aftermarket air filters.
After looking at the prices to manufacture all the brackets it wasn't worth it.
So i'm in the process of making a unit that will work on both.

But again costs are linked to how many units are made..

Im also interested in the rear engine one cam(if my car doesnt get sold). So many mr2s lose the rear rod to keep them open. This thing works and looks good on my bros car.

Just wanted to let everyone know..

The parts have been ordered..
1-2 weeks
-water jet cut stainless brackets
-2 pairs of ball studs
-gas shock

Some modifications where made during construction.
And this has caused the pass side to not clear any more.
So presently it is only for the drivers side...
100% it doesn't work on the SC pass side

And when ordering you may select which side you want it on..
Left or right side....

Yes you may...

I finally bit the bullet and pulled the money together to order 20 sets.
