Postby kamlopsmr2 » Sun Mar 31, 2013 9:10 pm

Just wondering if anyone has a used or knows of a place that sells these as Toyota has discontinued selling. Checked a few places in the US but they were pretty expensive.

My local Toyota dealership said it went for $1500 haha which is $500 more then a used 4AGZE engine I could get. I'm going to try cleaning mine again (It is heavily corroded and the flap was actually shut) and see if it runs if not I'll buy that one on E-bay as it looks like they ship to Canada. Thanks for finding that part for me :)

no problem. if your flipper door was stuck shut that renders it useless and was probably the reason.

I have heard both the 4A NA(slightly larger ID) and the 3S AFM can be made to work with some

We took it out and cleaned it, put it back in and the car ran fine. After a day or so I started the car and it ran very poorly (hissing sound from AFM, supercharger light stuck on and it was running rich). Took the AFM out again and it was re-stuck so looks like I will need one. If you guys have one let me know if its in decent shape and how much its worth to you. Ebay ones on for $112 plus $35 shipping.

I have a 3S one that may work. the pin outs is the same, and dementions are suposedly the same. since its from a larger engine you may need to tune the idle screw (I had to do this with mine after I did my engine swap, the new engine with larger pistons has a different air flow, messing it up)
