QUESTION: Winking headlights

Hi all,
It's spring and my '2 enjoyed a lovely drive yesterday after a bit of a winters nap.
A tiny problem has arisen, which I've never seen before, so I thought I'd toss it out for your thoughts.
When I flipped the switch for the headlights upon entering the Massey Tunnel, they came up, then the left one started going down/up/down/up. Tried again and then both were winking -- not in sequence. Later, neither winked, but then I threw them on again again and the left one starting winking.
I suspect a relay has reached end-of-life, but thought I'd ask as I'm not quite sure of this guess, or if it is right, which relay.

headlamp module, it's in the frunk, drivers side upper corner behind the strut tower

if your good with a soldering iron and you have some magnification it is likely just a bad solder joint.

Happened to my red supercharged mr2.

THe headlight relay in the frunk. The relay contacts get a bit coroded and need to be filed lightly. Lucky the little individual relay covers come off easily and give access to the relay contacts. Took me about 20 minutes to fix the winking
