I'm in the market for a pristine condition of 1989 mr2 SC. Willing to pay up the price for the car with low mileage and in original condition. Shoot me a price in your mind thru pm if you have one and thinking of selling.

Bump, willing to pay up to CAD$15000 for the one with low milage, zero rust, original paint and no to light (can be return to original) mod.
Will consider moderate milage (100000km-150000km) example in same condition as well.
Also, willing to accept a 1988 SC with same condition but only in the same color as photo below. Thanks!

I noticed you also had an ad on Kijiji. Have you had anyone contact you at all with an 89 SC??

First of all, I'm from Toronto. Therefore all the mr2 in those year already become rust bucket. Unless there is some hidden gems in someone garage that I didn't know. I have been looking for one for more than two years but nothing really interest me expect the black one from eBay last year and the two tone in Phoenix which i found out last month. The black one I almost got it but someone from Germany willing to pay more I can afford back than. For the two tone, the owner simply want to make money since his asking price is USD$30k!! Because of that, I'm changing my tactic by start posting ads instead of waiting someone to post a for sale ad to see if I can attract someone let go their beloved 89 SC.

Are you looking for a 89 SC as well?

I'd love to find any SC in superb condition, it's getting harder and harder, though.

Out of curiousity, why would you buy any '88, but only a red '89?

Good luck in your search!

I would like to buy any 89 sc in any color (prefer equipped with a/c at least). For 88, I only interest in the one with an orange reddish color called "orange pearl mica" from factory. That color is only available in 88. The picture above is a 88 sc in orange pearl mica.

I see that now, looked different on my phone. Totally confused with the years.

My real unicorn is a perfect 2-tone grey SC.

Absolutely. Nothing screams late-late-80's Toyota like this paint scheme to me.

From what I remember, it was an anniversary edition paint scheme that was offered on corolla, mr2, camry and possibly 4-runner.

Definitely 4Runner too.

My 1990 pickup had it, or a variation of. 0179 was the dark colour, not sure what colour the silver was.
