Just an update:

Someone contact me that he had a White 89 SC and willing to sell it to me. The plus side is zero rust and nice shiny original paint (as he gauarantee it and looks like all the original decal still in proper place from the picture). Almost fully load minus a/c. The original leather seat and steering whenn still in very good shape. Milage is decent (around 155000km). Down side is (from my point of view, maybe wrong to others) he state that he did some tastefully mod but when he send me the fully mod list looks like it's a bit too extensive for me. Also, if I really go ahead for it I will be the 5th owner for this MR2 SC. Do you guys think I should still go ahead or just wait for another one?

That's a question only you can answer. My own feeling was that if you were truly looking for a $15,000 MKI, a modified one won't be the one for you. Not to say this might not be an excellent car, but it might just not fit your bill. If you're asking, maybe you already know the answer. When I found my MKII this summer, I didn't need to think twice about it. I contacted the guy right away and bought it as soon as I humanly could :)

Summer is coming and I still looking for one. Will start consider imperfect candidate but only willing to pay up to market price. Still willing to pay top dollar for one in low mileage and original condition. Prefer equipped with A/C (I don't mind if it working or not, as long as the whole A/C system is complete).

the only place you are going to find a very low mileage mint car is ebay and it will be a US car there are a few on there in the 50-70,000 miles region. I'm not really sure why you are trying to find it here? you have more than enough budget to import from the states, heck you have enough budget to fly down and see the car in person, you likely won't find a mint original car of that caliber here.

Been go through ebay / craglist / autotrader ca and us / kijiji and mr2 related forum everyday. All the low milages that I found these years are either been repainted / supicious repair or had been modified.

For example: There is a black low milage 89 SC (around 70000miles) for sale around 2 weeks ago in Rochester MN, the owner said the car is original except the after market wheel and never been involved in accident, but when I received the pic of the rear end near the antanna area. The pic show that the antanna is a fixed antanna and he said that MR2 is come with that originally. Beside that, the "TOYOTA MR2" badge is gone on the trunk lid. Also, although the carfax record show that the car is clean, but there is 0 record after 2007. Therefore I suspect the car might involved in accident after 2007 but the owner never report it. Because of that, I don't even want to waste my time + money to fly down and check the car out. Also, if I going to just call it a day and get it, why don't I try to get one in Canada?

The only truely minty original with low milage 1989 MR2 SC I found all these years was this in almost 2 years ago:

Too bad I'm still a stuednt back then and I didn't have enough money to buy it. Now this exact MR2 SC is currently living in Germany with his new owner.

Not true, there are beautiful Canadian MR2s around. Remember, lots of original owners would never have been part of the online MR2 Community.

I'm totally agree, that's why I try every possible way to find one of these gems. I have a feeling I might be able to find one that I want within these years. Since most of the mk1 mr2 still with their original owner and their original owner getting old and they cannot drive them anymore. Saw at leat 10 mr2's last year are like that within US and Canada and only one of them are a 89 SC.

Just curious, what is the absolute top dollar you'd pay for the 89 SC you want?

CAD $15000 or obo for a one owner, 1989 MR2 SC 5 speed manual Canadian Model in either black, white or dark blue with every available options (power pkg, A/C, leather and 5 speaker sound package). All feature in the car need to be function properly. Mileage must be 80000km or less. Need to be accident free, zero rust and still with original paint with all decal /strip present. Also need to be no modification at all (not even for aftermarket radio or aftermarket alarm system, dealer installed factory alarm system is exception). Also will consider 1989 MR2 SC 5 speed manual in other color and option combination but it need to have A/C. Also will consider US model but no JDM model.

I would expect the car you're describing to be worth $20,000, myself.

It's be a beautiful find, I'm sure it's out there.

I'm agree on that price if I can find one in Toronto since I'm living in Toronto and I no need to pay for any shipping. But need to adjust the price if it outside Toronto since I need to pay for shipping. Since this is a bc based site that's why I list for $15000.
