The switch dimmer knob was cracked so it wasn't turning the switch.
A zap strap on the dimmer knob seems to have fixed it for now..

And putting the dash bulbs back into the cluster helped

Yes the o2 sensor wasn't very happy but looked like it would pass.
Very close ...
good stuff..

Re: Gauge Cluster

Sorry to bring this thread back up again, but my car came with the Ebay reverse glow gauges. They look great...when they work. They randomly dim or just turn off altogether. They are off more than they are on. There was a little red button installed to the below left of the steering wheel, next to where the foglight switch is, and that turns them on and off, but there is no dimmer with these. I'm assuming then there's just a wiring problem? Has anyone had experience with these (pic below):

My car came with a set of those when I first bought them. The needles never lit up, so I just ripped them all off. Looked kinda cool at first, but I liked the black background.

Check to see if the dimmer switch is connected. Mine wasn't, so it was just on full brightness all the time (which I think is the only option on those idiglo gauges.)

The dimmer switch should be able to be accessed by just removing the lower panel at the knees of the drive. Several screws. But when you take it out don't drop the panel too far down, because there's some wiring attatched (fog light switch).

I have been working with a company for a long time on perfecting the reverse ...
Problem was the template was very poor.. and didn't line up with anything.. very frustrating
