Where to get power door lock motors?

Postby UFO » Thu Dec 16, 2004 2:30 am

as above. not wanting to spend a lot of money on them. ebay has them for like $5 each, plus $6 or so shipping each. so i think $20 and under is a reasonable price to pay locally. anybody have any leads?

My old car didn't have power door locks, I bought a pair off eBay for $12 and wired them to my alarm with two relays. Installation's pretty easy.

Just don't ask Morris to install anything for you. I've seen him try to fit a CF hood on an IS300 for 3 hours before he realized an IS200 hood doesn't fit.

yeah, its going to be a self install. i figure the only time i really learn about my car is if i crack into it myself; basic electronics should be manageable for me.

good stuff cam! thanks for coming through. i will be in your hood on saturday night if you are free, if not we can arrange something else. yours will include the mounting hardware right? like these:
