Ultimate MK1 Gauge Cluster

Postby bbarnumboy » Sun May 15, 2011 10:27 am

So after a very long time, and a whole lot of money, i have finally finished the mock up of my custom gauge cluster for the MK1.5

I tried to keep it stock looking and i believe i did a very good job. I designed everything and built it all myself. Hope you like it! I will be putting LED lighting from the behind to make it that much better

what do you guys think?

Gauges are Boost, oil temp, oil pressure and water temp

As much as i hate them i will be running a pillar pod to hold a afr gauge, air intake temp gauge and a universal fuel gauge. Most of the aftermarket fuel level gauges out there are only in the ohms range of ford or GM, but there are programmable ones. That is what i will be using.

I really wanted to get rid of all the dummy gauges and get some real numbers. and the only way to make it look uniform, was to get rid of the fuel gauge.

Awesome! I love it. I bet you could sell those; but probably not worth the effort it takes you.

The cost of the Prosport gauges alone would be expensive!

hell yeah, i want one, and how much would you want for one without the prosport gauges. or would it be better for me to send the old gauge cluster from my mk1?

currently the prosport is all that will fit, i am researching. This product may go into production so stay tuned. could become a part in a catalog as i have been contacted to do so. i am figuring out a LED light system to run the Fuel gauge. so it would be like 3 or 4 colored lights to let you know where your fuel level is at.

trying to drop all my production costs more a multi run. and me modifying it would probably be best unless you want a go at it :-)

Amazing! I don't say this often, but that almost looks cleaner than stock!
