HVAC lighting out.

Postby Variance » Wed Mar 30, 2011 2:54 pm

Has anyone encountered this before? Its not a fuse issue right, cause chances are other things would not be working either.

I'm thinking of just picking up a used one to replace. Since I'm there is there a fix for the wear on the AC button?

I don't know about your HVAC, but you can buy new A/C buttons still.

sorry for the topic steal, but why my might my HVAC lighting blink when my turn signals are on (does not always happen, but does most of the time) but not with the 4 way flashers?

The circuit for the hvac is receiving voltage from your turn signals. There could be crossed wires that are frayed or thin and the signal wire is inducing voltage into the hvac wiring. Inspect the wiring and replace as necessary.

Also if someone had ever played with the wiring before, to put in a stereo or something they may have wired it incorrectly.
