I picked up an 89 SC this past weekend. It's a fun car but I'd like to recover the seats in black leather.

Is anyone aware of somewhere that sells new black leather seat covers that I can use to reupholster my Mk1 seats?

Are seat foams in different years of the Mk1's the same shape and size. I'm thinking of picking up a spare passenger seat and harvesting the seat foam to replace the tired foam in my drivers seat.

i would assume its very close, thats what I have done with the leather seats in my jeep, took the passenger seat pan and leather and swapped it over

Ask Andrew (memphis) he recently recovered his seats and they look very nice.
