Omori Boost guage

Postby Oteck » Sat Jun 05, 2010 10:11 pm

Some1 just had to come by and get me to do this. I did this as CLEAN and reversable as possible. I havent tested it but i ran the same wiring w/ Zera's cluster when i converted
his speedo to electrical. Only difference is this will be on all the time at full blast lol, i don't have a potentiometer on me so this will have to do.

Enlarge hole to allow the wires to go in

double sided tape to prevent the gauge from tuning

Test fit, it's not locked in all the way

Looks good Joe.

What do you mean full blast? Like it lights up full time?

I'm interested in getting this done too, how much are you charging?

I didn't put a resistor on it so it will out bright the rest of the cluster. putting in a potentiometer is the best way since it can be adjusted vs a static resistor.
This was also a quick wire so the only power source i can get was the IGN so it will be on when ever the car starts. I could wire it to the harness but i don't have any connectors or splices at hand. Leave me a PM for a quote as i tend to forget. This should be doable in a day now as i got more experience with it.

The fun part is getting that vaccum hose all the way to the back of the car. I remember I had to buy some more hoses cuz it was too short.

Shouldn't the needle be at zero and not negative 30?...unless you had a running vacuum line when you took the pics...
My Omori gauge sometimes gets out of calibration after a long period of time and requires a little "tweaking."

i got that gauge in my car, but the P.O. didnt put it inside the cluster, put it on the outside, so I will have to get a new bezel and fix it. what kind of lighting is inside of it? im not fond of the green backlight in mine. mine also reads 30 inches of murcury when not running.
