Bc stroker kit or Toda stroker kit

Postby M.Y.MR2 » Wed Oct 14, 2015 11:53 pm

I'm thinking of a stroker kit for my 2. It's a 1991 with a 3rd gen 1997 3s-gte with LSD. There is 2 brands I'm stuck on. One is a Brian Crower stroker kit which is around $3500usd and the other one is Toda which is gonna run me about $7500 usd. Big difference in pricing. My question is should I go for the bc ones or is it worth it to get the Toda? My ideal hp is 450 to 500hp safe for daily driving. Any input will be greatly appreciated.

I'm getting the work done at my friend's shop. What is the name of the shop you are talking about?

Ross' car was put together by Independent Speed Shop in Langley, but the stroker engine was purchased (and pre-assembled) by ATS racing in Texas.

BC MR2OC sure is dead... at least forums... facebook is probably hopping! lol

but just to add my late .02......

BC VS TODA stroker kit i'd lean toward BC if those were my only 2 options. being it's a gen3 you're stroking i'd have a custom kit made with 10 over pistons so cylinder walls would retain as much integrity as possible.

something similar that we (CRW) would build would run around $1950 USD -- all parts minus block would be good for 700whp. can build kits for more HP as well but if block isn't up to the task then overbuilding that much more is a waste of time

a 1,000+whp stroker kit would run around $3500

The facebook group and the whatsapp group are where all the discussion has gone.
