have a 1990 2.2 stock motor and am looking to put the 2.2 3S GTE DOHC

Well, it sounds like you need to head on over to mr2oc.com & mr2.com and do a lot of reading.

The 3S is a 2.0L, and although it's a direct mechanical bolt into the body, the exhaust and harness are not plug & play.

knew it was 2.0 just typo. i just talked with a friend who built his mr2 up a few years ago and he said the best way to do it would be to buy a rear clip from a japanese import company in the states, but i cant seem to find any sites.

any suggestions? :\

go to a reputable vendor like CRW or Prime who are in the other forums. Your friend right about the clip, you'll be way over your head if you'll be the one piecing it together.

Or a wrecked one. That's what the previous owner of my car did. Just remember to use a torque wrench.
