MK2 MR2 Keys - What do you have?

I currently have a '94 and this is the key it came with


When I had my '93, it came with this.


Am I using the Valet key? Were there any changes from year to year?

Looks to me that you're using a valet key, but if it opens your trunk and glovebox chances are someone just cut you a master key on the wrong blank.

My '94 came with your second, black plastic key.

Hrmm yea i think Adam is right. The current key opens everything.

Does Toyota still carry the black plastic one?

I don't know if it is or not. Since Twosrus only carries the Celica key I'd be inclined to think that it's disco'd, but you would have to call a dealer to find out for sure.

I bought an OEM key from Gord at Jim Pattison Toyota Surrey. Wasn't the exact one as the second pic but it looked similar.
