Just out of curiosity how long have you been an MR2 owner?

I have been an MR2 owner for the past 20 years...

August 1992 - bought my black 86... fully loaded with leather, power windows and locks and AC
March 2004 - bought my white 93 turbo from Chuck Currie the White Spot guy
June 2004 - sold my black 86 to a kid who immediately blew up the engine and then asked for his money back
September 2005 - bought my all original white 85 from a retired couple in Chilliwack after he brought it out to BCMR2005
2009 - bought my black 91 NA. Up until 2012 I had 3 MR2s
March 2012 - sold my white 93 turbo to thelaw604

Currently driving my now white 91 NA and original white 85.

So has anyone owned and driven an MR2 longer than my 20 consecutive years? 2-yota might have me beat.

Wow, the 93 turbo was from Chuck Currie? Awesome! =D

And you've had an MR2 for as long as I've been alive.. Not to make you feel old or anything.. ^_^

I'm trying to think back to when I had my previous cars...

2001- Early 2004 - White '87 T-top
Fall 2005 - Fall 2007 - Silver '85
Sept. 2009 - Present - White '94

I'll have to consult my records to get the dates correct, but right now I'm on my fifth MR2. Don't tell my wife, but I can easily see 5 more in my future

I can't touch your 20 years of ownership, though. When I was 9 I was only getting rides in MR2s, not buying them

Just got my first one last week

91 turbo white with 105k on it. Got it from a retired guy who babied the car since he bought it brand new. No accidents all original paint. Very fortunate to own it but won't see the road till next year summer. It will be strip down cause Im changing the color to red. Luckily I work and manage an Autobody and paint shop. I know that the bodywork and paint will be done right.

April 2009 - USDM Aquamarine Pearl 1991 Turbo T-Top Mr2
I bought it in Gr.10, age 16.....WOW THAT SOUNDS COOL!

First car, but I have no intentions to go all out on this mr2. though I have cared for it as much as I would for my dream mr2. I'm waiting to install my parts on a clean USDM sunroof model mr2 (I'm planning on modifying the sunroof as well

).

Soooooo....just help me find a clean Sunroof MR2, doesn't matter if it's almost a shell or not since it's going to get completely restored anyways, thanks!

Nice mr2, it looks like it's ready for some offroad rally racing.

Can't wait to start the tear down and start buying parts for this baby :lol:

That looks like my car when I bought it, super stock! :]

And forgot to post earlier that I've been an owner for about a year and half. Got the car in February 2011, loved it and babied since day 1. Gonna store her soon though, hopefully she'll be purtier than before when I bring her back out in the spring.

And seems like SSJ and I are both wanting USDM sunroofs... But I'll get my 93 NA sunroof and convert it to a 3rd gen 3S before you! >:]

I bought my first MR2 after 2 years of searching in the spring of 2009, a red 1992 Canadian Turbo from an older guy that used as a summer driver. 110k kms on the clock and bone stock down to the factory alarm. I wanted a 1993 one but had to settle for this as it was the cleanest low mileage one I could find.

Fast forward to this year, TWO 93s go on sale, one being Dan's. I jumped at the opportunity, looked at both and decided on Dan's (Chuck Currie having owned it wasn't the reason) as it was in better condition than the 92 that I had.

Spring of 2006 I bought my 1985 MR2 110,000 Miles Bone stock aside from the wheels, brand new clutch for $2000 :-)

sometime in 2007 I had a dark blue 1989 for about 5 months. It was part of a temporary deal.

So coming up on 7 years as an MR2 owner
